Re: Australia vs West Indies 1st Test

    8/40 this morning.

If this continues the Boxing Day & New Year tests will be very disappointing and very short. Maybe they should play five one day matches instead...

Fourth Michelle 'Fivers' in 14 tests...that takes some serious doing.

He's been great today, when he's bowling poorly he gets far too straight. No sign of that today

That's why we need to keep him fit and I like him so much. If all quicks are fit, Starc, Hazlewood and Pattinson are in. To have a talent like Cummins as 12th man is nearly criminal, unless Lyon retires and he's not replaced with another spinner. If Lyon retires in a couple of years, could we go Khawaja for Mitch Marsh. 4 genuine quicks and rely on Smith, Voges & Warner for some slower stuff?

I know he looks 40 but he's still only in his 20's - he could play another 10 years

Really? I was only guessing his age on an assumption, a wrong assumption. Scratch the last post.

He's got years and years then. You'd think he could play to at least 35.

Highlight of the test was Pattinson for me.
Just hope he gets a good run at it.
Jim maxwell wrote him off after the first dig, which I thought was pretty harsh
Lyon's been a very bowler in an art that is difficult in this country .

Maxwell's getting grumpier and less tolerant by the day! Largely because of the malaise affecting test cricket generally, plus he's getting a bit long in the tooth.
                    TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.
