I thought it was better as well, he couldn't have hit it any sweeter and for his size...wow. Anyhow the goals this season have been fantastic.

I did remark to my son when Giroud scored that goal that it was more a case of Sanchez bouncing it off Giroud's foot into the net but, nah, Giroud's was better.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

What a great weekend for us and Spurs.

Pep struggling in a competitive league.

Yeah, thats why i think Carrolls is better than the other two. He actually meant it rather than throw a boot and hope for the best.

Overhyped, Overpaid, Overpriced bunch of flogs are United.

Good result for Chelsea and Spurs but both still have to come to Anfield and will have to face a stronger 11 than that.

I don't think he threw his boot. He held his position perfectly.

Flogs the most overused tedious term used now .
As per usual you overrate them .

To me there is just more luck involved in Girouds goal, dont get me wrong it looks great. But Carrolls is just a better goal imo.

We haven't lost at Anfield since 2012. Not sure it'll hold anymore fears than any other away ground. Should be a cracking game.

Liverpool does play well against the big boys though, it's just the slip ups against the smaller clubs that seem to kill them.

United are always going to be overhyped as they are the biggest club in the world.

I think not being able to win at Sunderland and places like that will hurt them .
Remember them beating a severely understrengthed Arsenal outfit in the first game .

There's more input from the passer in Giroud's I reckon. When you think about Giroud just has to fall over backwards holding his leg out. But with one quick look Sanchez has to ascertain where Giroud's foot is going to be at a certain point in time, and then hit that point exactly at the same time from 15 metres away and the ball has to be travelling just fast enough to bounce of Giroud's foot and into the back of the net. Sanchez must have freakish depth perception.

Carroll had a little more time to prepare himself too because the passer was further away. Although those sorts of kicks aren't the ones you want a lot of time to think about. Although the pass was bending through the air like a mofo so Carroll had that to contend with as well. They are both great goals though, I could happily spend hours finding reasons why one is better than the other.

4-3. The score line looks like it must have been a cracking game but I don't think I've seen us look less composed double touching simple passes and giving the ball away in silly positions. Liverpool had the keystone cop defence in place. That's the only way I could see how we scored three times.

One of the things with Giroud's goal is that he actually starts the play in his box too. Makes it a bit special for me.

Giroud is my favourite-he's a bit of a lair and has a kick like a mule-so I'm biased about it a bit I guess. He signsd a contract extension last week too.

It's called pressure, we ran over 10k more than United this morning, some teams can handle it, some can't.
