Happy with that balance. Starc for Billy when there's no resting and it's best available. It's actually quite close to the test team, (Head/Cartright, Maxwell/Renshaw, Faulkner/Lyon, Cummins/Bird which I'd do when Cummins is right), and I would like to see Head tried in the test team.

Handscomb is interesting, he'd never quite found the one day middle ground. I like the selection though, rewarding performance

After a slowish start, Head is starting to build up some good runs despite being shunted around the order (career to date):

I'd like to see what he could do around the test team.

Three new faces just announced for the Australian ODI squad

Australia ODI squad Steve Smith (c), David Warner (vc), Pat Cummins, James Faulkner, Travis Head, Josh Hazlewood, Usman Khawaja, Chris Lynn, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Billy Stanlake, Mitchell Starc, Matthew Wade, Adam Zampa

Finch, Bailey and Cartwright miss out.

Maxwell still in the squad and has a great chance to impress. Stanlake bowls at 140km+ and adds to the Starc, Hazlewood and Cummins combination and of course Marsh and Faulkner are quality all rounders.

Bill Stanlake's dad Warren played one game with doggies in 1981. Son of a gun

Hazelwood went early and couldn't double back, and run out, Stoinis incredible one day innings not out 146.
