Smith was the bowler who walked down the pitch and punched Footscray's Tony Paone in the face. The man is a hypocrite of the first ****ing order and one of the bigggest arseclowns God ever pumped breath into.

"If sport is about demeaning an opponent then it is not worth playing. What lifts any game above a series of thumps and bumps, of hits and misses is that the endeavour of the opponent is appreciated and respected.

This is not to take the high moral ground but the line in between celebration and denigration. Only fools think you cannot have one without the other."

How appropriate given our comments about his behaviour.
