            Labuschagne was giving slips practice. The gaps between bat and pad, elbows and body would have been sufficient to drive through with one of those Noddy cars closeted married men used to drive around, fifteen to twenty years ago.

                                                Unfortunately SL test cricket is in a bit of trouble. Not knowing too much about their players, are they in rebuild mode with lots of young players?

                                                    Their bowlers are fairly inexperienced, but their batsmen aren't:
                                                    Karunaratne 36 / 98 Tests / Av. 40
                                                    Chandimal 35 / 86 Tests / Av. 43
                                                    Mathews 37 / 116 Tests / Av. 45
                                                    de Silva 33 / 61 Tests / Av. 40

                                                    Plus Kamindu Mendis 26 / 10 Tests / Av. 74 with 5 centuries.

                                                    You would expect them to bat far better on their home deck.

                                                            Are there many reasons why baated for as long as we did?
                                                            I get the notion of only wanting to bat once but we could have declared the inning 30 minutes earlier
