Mile was running into the far post and was looking to head the ball.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Mexico looked great this morning. With Germany losing it will be interesting to see how this group pans out. They should beat both Sweden and South Korea but will more than likely end up runners up.

Other interesting results were Argentina drawing with Iceland. Well done Iceland. As well Brazil drawing with Switzerland. Switzerland are capable and underrated

yep unbelievable. This, to me, is where Christiano Ronaldo is the better player (not necessarily technically) as he delivers consistently for his country. Ronaldo would have nailed that penalty.

Just watched the highlights - Brazil look like they had a zillion chances but just couldn't nail a winner.

Haven't been able to watch more than 10 seconds of live footage.

Buffering, playback issues, lag ... take your pick.

                    Re: 2018 World Cup

Wowee. I knew the SBS selling out and giving Optus the majority of games would be a PR disaster ... even if it worked perfectly. But to totally stuff up the World Cup experience for all Australians is not forgivable. There will be a serious fall out from this.

It's 2018. It should be easier to watch a game of football. Not more difficult. You should not need to be a digital guru to work out how to get the game on your TV! I still can't fathom that this was allowed to happen. The only option to watch the majority of the World Cup should never ever been allowed to be streaming ... particularly with the state of our broadband infrastructure.

What's laughable is that the CEO of Optus came our yesterday and "guaranteed" that it would work for last nights coverage. Last night was the worst experience yet. Where do they go to from here?

The only way to salvage anything from this is to simulcast all of the games on SBS starting tonight!

that is crap. Wish they would just show it on free to air.

I'm one of the lucky ones being an optus customer with the fetch box. TBH their football service on that shits all over everything else with with different products in live football, highlight packages, footabll shows etc. Worth the extra couple of dollars a week. Love it.

I agree the app sucks though.

I guess you could blame SBS for selling their soul for one EPL game a round.

I love the Iceland coaches comment. "People say, why are we celebrating a draw like its a win? I say wait until we do win a game, then watch us celebrate!"

It was a good save I reckon. There wasn't too much wrong with the penalty (speaking about technique in other threads, have a look at the technique of good penalty takers. It's almost exactly the same as a good set shot taker should be) but the keeper fully committed to the same spot (having studied Messi's penaltys) and guessed right. It wasn't like the rugby conversion in the other game.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
