The 10 greatest fieldsman of all time

I've just challenged Twodogs with this one as it's a subject near and dear to him

Who are the best 10 fieldsman you have seen play? This can be Test or ODI cricket.

    This is my first draft

    1) Jonty Rhodes
    2) Viv Richards
    3) Ricky Ponting
    4) Ravindra Jadeja
    5) Roger Harper
    6) Chris Harris
    7) Herschell Gibbs
    8) Steven Smith
    9) Paul Collingwood
    10) Clive Lloyd

Mark Waugh is unlucky and Joel Garner was about the best gully fieldsman I have seen. Mark Taylor in the slips is worth considering.

Symonds and Clarke were unreal and think they’re better than everyone you have up to 5 for me.

I'll admit Clarke could be right in the mix. Symonds just a step back

I'd have Symonds ahead of Clarke. He was the best of that era IMO

Was Rhodes really the very best? I mean yeah, he was amazing running and throwing at the stumps and he dived at the stumps that time but I can't remember a lot of really good catching from him...........maybe I need to see some highlights of his catching if they're around.

All of the other greats have awesome catching to compliment their ground work.......
            TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Loved watching my favourite cricketer of all time Viv Richards.

Incredibly hard to leave out Mark Waugh.

I agree. Who would you replace?

Maybe, Smith's been brilliant ion the field in a number of positions.
I'll do a search on it.

He played a massive innings at a test in Perth in 1990 that saved the game for them - felt like he batted for about 9 hours. There was a banner in the crowd that test saying "These Kiwis are a Great Batch"

There was that famous catch where he plucked it in the slips and then gave it to a commentator, probably Tony Greig !
