Looks like I'm in the minority here, despite hating Utd. Rightly or wrongly, once you make the decision to try and block a shot, you're expected to move your arms into your body, or at least right by your side. Even though the position of the arms were quite natural given the jump and turn, it does give the defender an advantage by making themselves bigger than their torso.

Keep your hands by your side when you are defending in the box. It's pretty simple. Just don't flap them about.
