Technique. When the bowling has been fuller it's moved.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

They've barely swung a single delivery since Davy Warner's last visit to Bunnings

Ponting suggested he didn't pick the wrong-un. It was pretty obvious out the hand so hopefully that's not the case...

That point hasn't been lost on me. The last two tests I guess we could say the we didn't quite get the best of the conditions but we have lost that ability.

It does appear to be that way so you would hope our batsman can pick it.

Harris playing beautifully. This is the kind of innings that has to become a hundred.

I'm really hoping he gets there and he makes it a big hundred. Labuschagne looks to be a bit out of his depth but he's fighting hard for it

You reckon? I'm far from a fan but he's looked solid, particularly against the spinners. His technique is pretty tight and has played out the dangerous balls reasonably comfortably.

Another singer figure innings from Marsh...

I guess I'd play if the selectors kept picking me too, irrespective of form.

But but...those two boundaries were sublime. Why we continue wasting our time with a 35yo who has been an abject failure for the vast majority of his career is laughable - although I'm not sure Wade, Burns or Maxwell will be enjoying the joke.

In fairness to Shaun Marsh, you know you're in all sorts of trouble when Whateley is in your corner.

I'm going to be harsh on Harris but this is exactly his issue as a first class cricketer. You're on top, cruising on a good wicket, have done all the hard work and get out to a ball you have no need to be cutting. It's just the stupid errors in his innings that stop him being a really good cricketer.

And yes, he made a really good 70+ and will probably top score in this innings, and yes he's a youngster in his first test series, but this is the pattern that he's displayed in his first class career and why Langer called him soft at WA.

In the context of where this game is going a nice 80 really means nothing.

Absolutely agree. The last thing we needed was someone making 78 off of 120 balls. We needed our opening batsmen to put their heads down and arses up and absorb a whole day worth of everything the Indians could bowl at them. It didn't matter if we were 0/120 after the whole dats play, it was occupation of the crease and not run rate that was important today. I don't care how many runs Harris got (or Usman) because runs didn't matter as much as having red ink at the end of the day.

The selectors seem to think it's a game of four limited I've innings and pick teams accordingly. It's not, test cricket is a game of attrition and our blokes are shooting themselves in the DMZ.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

600 ought to do it. Where are Sid Barnes and Don Bradman or Woodfull and Ponsford when you need them?
