Amazing effort to come from 0-2 to win the series 3-2. Australia has never achieved that feat before and no team has ever done it to India.

Have we stumbled on our best lineup for the World Cup? How will Smith, Warner, Hazlewood and Starc fit in?

Hazlewood won't. I don't have him in my squad and certainly not in my XI.

If I was a selector, I'd be leaving out Finch and Carey, bringing in Warner and Smith, giving Hanscomb the gloves and replacing Lyon with Starc.

But that won't happen, because there are no legitimate captaincy options after Finch.

If you're picking a best XI, not considering leadership, mine looks like

I agree with most of that Lemmon.

Smith and Warner will only have the IPL and 2? warm up one dayers to find some form. I think there is a chance that 1 or both may not be in our best 11 if they are struggling for form. If that's the case do you play them anyway and hope they improve as the tournament progresses?
