How good is it to see an Australian #3 make 27 from 100 and not look panicked or stressed to hurry up the scoring?!?

Especially with the ball darting about. It usually only takes the smallest amount of movement off the seam or through the air and our batting lineup goes to water.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Yep it's a great game, the other forms of International cricket don't do it for me although the success of Labuschagne has made it a bit more exciting for me. Mr Cricket 2.0 has got me really enjoying the game again

It's an excellent point you make plus there isn't the cries from the supporters that he needs to get on with it.

Cracking delivery, it would have got a lot of other batsman as well

de Grandhomme gets Labuschagne. He shouldn't get Test wicket in my opinion

Very unlucky to be out , but great innings. Runs are hard to come by and on reflection Warner’s 41 under the conditions was pretty good

Still watching the Boxing Day test, zero family obligations, one of the really good days of the year.

Jeez Labs looked upset to lose his wicket. Love an Aussie batsman that values his wicket so highly.

He's made a difference to the side and to think his opportunity came after that sickening blow to Smith

We really need Smith to go with this, it sounds harsh but he is overdue for a big score.
Wade really needs to grasp his chance. At some stage it could come down to a selection between he and Travis Head so runs will count

How has the deck been playing? Quick and consistent with respect to bounce?
                        TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

I thought that there might be an issue just after lunch but it's seems like a decent pitch. Tomorrow might be the day to see if it flattens out or starts to produce some bounce off a good length

There were a couple that kept low in the last over.

The Kiwi bowlers didn't know how to use the pitch to their benefit, especially in the first session of play when the ball was moving around alot. Their bowlers are not quick enough to cause damage to world class batsmen, however, overall a pretty even and consistent pitch.

Interesting to hear Smith say that he never felt like he was in
Not sure if the pitch will deteriorate quickly or if it will flatten out but I wonder if NZ regret sending us in
