    Should look amazing.
Think we've won 6 out of 7 at home lately only losing to Liverpool, tough place to travel again.
    Weak Arsenal

Totty to play the bottom team, so looks like we have blown it

Newcastle in very good form, but Arsenal have absolutely thrown away a top 4 spot in the last few weeks. To Spurs and all

Isn't the wolves owner some dodgy corrupt Chinese business man with links to the Chinese government?

Think he was kidnapped by them for a while!

I mean he's a Chinese billionaire. He was "held and questioned" by a Chinese anti-corruption judiciary for a few days and released. He was also one of many. Make of that what you will.
Is he squeaky clean? Almost definitely not.
Does he have links to the government? On some level probably, but he's doesn't seem to be any sort of government power broker.
Do I want to be in here defending billionaires? Not on any level. There's levels of false equivalency going on though.
That said, the structure of the game is completely *!*!*!*!ed and invites corruption which FIFA vacuums up like nourishment. I understand Newcastle fans excitement and I'm not saying that I'd be above it put in the same situation but the game asks an increasing level of cognitive dissonance to enjoy.
Choosing a white and green away shirt that is very Saudi like also seems like a giant middle finger to any critics, which I'm sure Toon fans love, but seems particularly tone deaf.

Yes agree mate. Tone deaf is the right word. I'm actually over all the ownership talk but I guess if we were owned by Aussies and they went green and gold would anyone care. They are owned by Saudis, so I suppose they can be proud of their country. We play them in WC qualifiers.

I just don't think players should be judged on where they choose to play; the UK arms the Saudis so maybe they should all avoid the Prem.
If you saw the game this morning and the pride and passion back in the community up there due to the new owners it's hard not to get sucked along with it. It's always in the back of your mind though sadly.

                  Re: EPL 2021-2022 Season

I guess if a club was owned by us Aussies it would be fine because we only support lies to justify invasions of foreign nations that cause thousands upon thousands of deaths, participate in said invasions, and then leave locals who helped us do it in the lurch (with them and their families facing harassment as a minimum - but most likely death) when we decide to retrieve ourselves from the situation, and also deny genocides committed against first nations people in our own country...........so on and so forth.

Please don't take this as me thinking we're the same or the equivalent of the Saudi's, rather, more an illustration that as soon as you bring statehood into sports ownership it gets ugly. I'm conflicted about what's happening with the Toon to be honest and I think it's a really shit decision to make our away kit green and white.
                  TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Must say, after beating United, Hammers and Chelsea this is a real Spursy end to the season by Arsenal.

Their Doco All or Nothing(or maybe it should be called Nothing or Nothing) is going to be great viewing. Arteta is coming across as a real melt of a manger.

Yeah It's going to get real messy over there once Newcastle start winning stuff. Will end up a 2 team league with both state owned and a lot of unhappy opposition fans.

Will it be that different it's really only Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City, Manure that have won it in the last 17 years (throw in a Leicester miracle). They all correlate to more money not necessarily a better run club.

For eg Chelsea had only one 1 title prior to Russian state backed money (Abramovich is clearly linked to the Kremlin). Maybe because he's white nobody cares until they have to (OOF joke, or is it)

I feel like no one wants us in the big boy club xD

Of course the big clubs don't want us in their echelon.

This is a worry chef for your boys.

Abramovich’s stalling has put the transaction at risk, with a government source claiming that the 55-year-old is “willing to let Chelsea go under.”

“There’s quite serious concern in government that the deal may fall apart and that Roman Abramovich is ultimately willing to let Chelsea go under,” a senior government source said.
