Well worth it. Maxi was on fire...Trippier is an absolute star and a general in defence and yes Everton suck! Richarlison cost a fortune and is lazy af.

I am taking nothing away from Newcastle's win, my comment is more on the second half of the season for Everton who were sitting near the top four early on.

They've spent quite a lot too on players, it's a real fail so far.

Recruiting Rafa was never going to work, he was always on a hiding to nothing being an ex Liverpool manager.

Be interesting to see how Lampard goes, early days for him. Van De Beek and Digne are good signings; not sure about Alli.

Edit : Digne was sold not bought.

Man Utd drop more points at Burnley which puts us out of the top 4 again with West Ham winning.

              Big win for Newcastle.

Good win for Newcastle, Trippier looks a game changing signing but my lasting image of that game will still be Joelinton tripping over in the box and kicking the ball into his own head after some ASM brilliance.

Oh and Digne was sold by Everton in the window to Villa, because he didn’t get on with Rafa. Then they sacked Rafa. Tells you all you need to know about where they’re at

Oh yeah that's right re Digne thanks, that had a big falling out didn't they!! Then they sold him and Rafa went ha great management.

Joe is a classic. I don't know how he was ever touted as a striker, he has 2 left feet when he's free in the box!

He is a fan fav now, really working his arse off and playing well in midfield. Should pair well with Bruno.

                    Nice away win against Wolves.

Now sitting 5th but two games in hand and only a point behind West Ham.

This had me in stitches. Joelinton is such an almost player a lot of the time, can barely get out of his own way a few times a game. Joe Willock brings the frustrated lols as well.

Pretty even game. Arsenal did well to take their chance. Wolves threw everything at them in the 2nd half, but couldn’t break through. A pretty common problem for Wolves this year unfortunately. Ramsdale was very good.

Another draw for Man Utd against Southampton. 6 wins, 6 draws and 1 loss for us under Rangnick. Need to turn those draws into wins. Top 4 in sight but won’t make it easy for ourselves dropping points.

Huge win 2-0 for Man Utd against Brighton this morning. That puts us for now back in the top 4. We needed that result. Leeds coming up now on the weekend.

                                Re: EPL 2021-2022 Season

For some reason I thought the Newcastle vs. Villa game was on this morning and didn't see we beat them 1-0 via a slightly but importantly deflected Trippier set piece. Unfortunately Trippier looks to have broken a bone in his foot so will be out for a while.

Amazing what a few wins can do for a team's mindset. If we can manage to jag a point vs. both West Ham and Brentford in the next two fixtures and put in a good showing against Brighton at home I'll feel a lot better about the away fixture at Chelsea thereafter.

I'm going to be in the UK from 14 March to 9 April and would love to get to a game. Hey GG, do you know how to find a ticket to SJP?
