There will be no reduction in crowds for the MCG test, Gov has already announced that. (yesterday)

Unless there's an incredible spike I doubt they'll change their plans for Boxing day, but I can see it coming early in the new year.

Re Ashes. Shame it's really a no contest. England haven't fired a shot.
Malan and Root have been ok, Stokes makes things exciting, Robinson is a talent (but 28). Slim pickings after that.

Who would have thought that after nearly two years and with a high vaccine rate by world standards we would still have so many challenges to try and work through.
Half capacity is still impressive though.

Our bowling attack looks to be pretty deep which is great, but the opposition doesn't really dig in so it's hard to tell.

It will be interesting to see how the MCG plays. If it's benign like it has been for a long while as a trend then they may have a chance to compete if we don't bat well.

Had a break for mental health reasons too. Plus injured his knee fielding in the first test didn't he.

He's a star, like when Warne played something usually happens when he's involved.

Agree with BAD been a bit underwhelming but mitigating circumstances.

In the past the touring team would come early and play a few first class games to get warmed up. England didn't get that chance. and in fact we only had a few shield games to try and pick a team.

The whole scheduling is out of whack, combined with the BBL etc. Needs to be re thought.

I think he was being cynical when he did make the prediction, or realistic, or both............!

The whole scheduling is out of whack, combined with the BBL etc. Needs to be re thought.

There should be no BB until this week, it should be shield cricket and maybe some 50 over games until then as the focus.
England even sent their Lions team home and I'm sure our A team would have liked another game against them.

Still Stokes was a risk for them given his injury challenges and it hasn't paid off for them but I'm sure he will play a blinder against us before the end of the series.

I haven't watched a single game, usually I would watch a couple, it's not my bag but I've just lost interest completely with the Ashes on.

Someone mentioned that since the move to Seven it hasn't done well.
Though Ch10 did OK with it.
