Reading between the lines the guy with Covid likely flew in from NSW, meaning he had a test up to 72 hours prior to arrival in SA and then another test on arrival. He wasn't required to isolate awaiting the second test. If he had flown into Victoria he wouldn't have had any tests at all. There's a good chance he was young, fit and vaccinated with no symptoms. Let's not hang the bloke.

BTW if you have COVID symptoms and require a PCR test, don't go and have dinner with the captain of the Australian cricket team on the eve of an Ashes test FFS. Go have dinner with Joe Root, Ben Stokes and Jimmy Anderson.
Harris just needs to hang around and take the shine off the ball doesn't he.
Can't see him playing the next test.

If he was tested in NSW he should've been isolating there?

          Not sure why it's confusing.

Not sure if you are serious? It is a requirement to be tested up to 72 hours before entering SA. My wife and kids have just done so this week. Of course they don't have to isolate as it is not due to symptoms or exposure.

So Jee was right : douche canoe.
Who said he had symptoms? The guy followed all protocols.

Potential openers would come from Khawaja, Renshaw, Henry Hunt and Bryce Street.

Ah thanks, I thought he was tested due to symptoms so you've educated me.

I would've thought you needed a clear test before entering?

                  Anyway enough side tracking!

I am speculating because it was reported he is a NSW grade cricketer but my guess is his test in NSW was clear but his SA test has come back positive.

Yep makes sense. Reading their guidance, you only have to isolate on entry until you take a test. Not return a negative.

All arrivals from New South Wales, ACT and Victoria will enter South Australia under level 3 (moderate risk) and are required to have a pre-arrival negative COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours before arrival, test upon arrival and quarantine until you undertake your test, and test on the 6th day after arrival

Renshaw was talked about as a possible Warner replacement but I wonder if he is more of a middle order batsman now. Khawaja is always around the mark.

I like Henry Hunt and Bryce Street is a very patient opening batsman. Both are very inexperienced though
