Who is going to the G for the test? Are you worried about catching the virus?

My wife and I are going on day 3 - looking forward to it.

I was going to go with mates to the MCC on day three, but that'll be a hotbed of COVID (particularly in the bars, the areas we frequent most) so I'm not going to do that and will be playing golf in the outdoors instead.

Unless I catch covid in the meantime I will be there day 2. New rules look like it will be masks on unless in your seat so I'm not particularly worried. I'm not going to sit in my house forever.

Looks like Hazlewood might not be available but Cummins is back. I wonder if Boland is in the mix despite Richardson form?

Scott Boland has been called into the #Ashes squad! Congrats Bolo

And Boland will play tomorrow according to few reports. So it's Cummins, Starc and Boland as the 3 quicks.
Horses for courses approach and I think it's a decent decision.
It also shows that the selectors aren't fussed about the age of debut players as Boland is 32.

He is now right in the conversation as being one of our best ever fast bowlers. Should be bowling the first ball of each game

That late wicket swung the session back our way. Starc is a concern though, wayward early and looked a bit uncomfortable when fielding.

Richardson pulled up sore after the game which is why Boland was called into the squad and then selected to play.
