England will be please with their 3 wicket haul so far that has seen off Labuschagne and Smith.
We need to finish the session off with no more wickets.

Good cricket from England this morning, providing their own example of why they should have bowled differently in the first couple of tests to a brittle Australian line-up.

It's not like Harris is Shaun Marsh.

Harris survives a review after been given out.
        Well, anyone.

He's probably doing enough to get another test now, but the idea that you can keep your spot just because we may be winning is trash. Bring someone else new in, or put Usman and figure out what to do in the next series after Shield cricket wraps up if you don't think he's the long term option.

History would say that we are reluctant to change winning teams especially when no one else is knocking the door down or coming back from a short term injury. The rhetoric from the coach and the selectors was that we had committed to Harris before the series started.
Harris is the lucky recipient of additional chances due to a lack of depth at the top of the order.

England have showed a bit of grit and we will need strong scores from Green and Carey plus the tail enders will need to contribute as well to press home any advantage.

Talk of the 4th test being played in Melbourne. England Cricketers are not keen to travel to NSW due to all the covid cases and the rules around testing and isolating.

Only 2 of our batsman didn't make it to double figures. We are fortunate we got important runs from Cummins and Starc.

                A decent lead for us.

A couple of quick wickets, Starc was on a hat trick, and Australia would be well pleased with things so far. Root and Stokes will be the keys for them now.

The best hour of bowling I have ever seen. Every ball was a chance.

                      England are shit.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

I get all of that, but I was just staying it's not what we should be doing.

Anyway, good on him for grinding out a decent innings. I don't like the way he was dismissed, but it is what it is and he'll be there for the remainder of the series I guess so I'll just have to deal with it!

I'll take this MCG deck over much of the others presented over time. Imagine how good things would be if there were two class batting outfits taking it up to two class bowling outfits of which the latter was on display today.

A likely early finish to the test notwithstanding, this is how MCG decks should be playing at this stage of the match. Hopefully the powers that be realise it.

It really has made it an exciting match.

The bowling from Cummins was sensational and then Starc followed through with probably his best spell in years.
They certainly had the batters very much on edge with every ball.

Stoke goes early on day 3.

5 down and still 30 required to make us bat again

We've run through them like a dodgy curry

Boland an incredible 5 for 5 off a bit over 3 overs

Just 2 more wickets to take.
