Just read that Lawrence may not come in and it could be Ali, Woakes and Wood for Anderson, Tongue and Pope.

England’s probable XI: Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Harry Brook, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Jonny Bairstow, Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood, Stuart Broad, Ollie Robinson.

A shame they haven't gone for the Stokes - Foakes - Woakes batting order.

Lillee: caught Willey, bowled Dilley. For our younger members, this really happened during the 1978/79 Ashes Series in Australia (reckon it was at the WACA). From memory, it was also the same match that Lillee wielded the aluminium instead of the willow - I'll never forget the sound of the clunk when the aluminium bat struck the ball for the first time. I'll also never forget Lillee throwing the offending bat dismissively at poor old Rodney Hogg, who was 12th man and had the unenviable job of coming onto the ground to inform Lillee that he had to change his bat back to the traditional willow.

And of course TISM subsequently had to write a song called "Lillee caught Willey bowled Milli Vanilli"

The batsman's Holding, the bowler's Willey (or vice versa) is a another classic.

          Almost

Pretty sure it was the bowler is Holding the batsman's Willey

          Sounds very intimate.

The commentary about the NZ medium pacer Bob Cunis was another classic which went along the lines of
Cunis bowling now, his bowling rather like his name, neither one thing nor the other."

That's why I said or vice versa because it works either way. I read it is just an urban legend though and it wasn't actually said on air. I always thought it actually happened.

in another universe it might had been would it be strange if it read:

                          Bowled Willy , caught Holding

Either Tongue is sore or they don't have faith in him.

If his not injured its really poor they not play him.
