Ashes 4th: Wednesday July 19-Sunday July 23, Old Trafford

Surely Warner is dropped for this test. I think Marsh deserves his spot and Boland needs to be replaced.

Im inclined with Neser for Boland. Save Josh for the final test, fresh.

Hard to drop Marsh, and hard to find a spot for Green. Can’t play them both and Marsh is in form.

Renshaw for Warner is an interesting debate.

Time for Marnus to make some runs.

I think we missed the opportunity to play Neser and it will have to be Josh coming in for Boland. With the extended break and missing the test if he isn't ready he never will be.

Marnus is an interesting one and despite a number of starts that he hasn't gone on with his match awareness is shocking and he's gone out about 3 times in an other or so before the breaks. He's not the patient player he was when he arrived on the scene with us but he needs to find some of that quickly.

I can't see us dropping Warner because we don't have an obvious replacement.

The worst thing about Marnus' dismissals is the balls he went out on were nothing special. He just played bad shots.

That is the most frustrating thing. Warner is copping the brunt of peoples commentary about selection for good reason and yet our best or 2nd best batsman isn't putting a lot of value on his wicket especially when compared to when he first arrived on the scene.
If getting to double figures constitutes a 'start' then he's had 5 starts for the series and a top score of just 47.

Neser was released to play county cricket for Glamorgan. Unfortunately rain hasn't given him a chance to bowl as yet so instead he made an unbeaten 176!

I saw some of the highlights, there were a high number of boundaries but not a lot of slogs. As highlights go it was an impressive performance.

Perhaps we should bring him in as a batsman.

Play him as opener in place of Warner and if he makes 10 runs its a win.

You all forget it’s harder to get in the team than it is to get out of the team.

Marcus biggest problem is he jumps all over the place when batting, you cant do that with a swinging ball.

You mean like Smith does? I don't think that theory holds.

Marcus followed Smiths lead but over exaggerates it to the extreme .

                            Out: Boland, Murphy

                            In: Green, Hazlewood

Would love to fit Neser in and tbh, he should play ahead of Hazlewood, but wont
