England should never have made such a sporting declaration in the first test and could have been in such a stronger position to win the series. While I'm not a fan of Bazball cricket it has made these games must watch and at times there has been exciting cricket.
While it's nice to hold the Ashes we do need a strong showing in the last test and ideally a win to really quiet them down.

I hope someone mentioned to him that Kasprowicz's hand was off the bat too.
But that was then and this is now.
As someone pointed out on Twitter. You (England) invented the game, invented the laws of run outs and stumping, invented the laws of rain and light delays, invented/changed how long tests get played for, invented when/time of the year cricket was played in the UK and somehow everything is conspired against the thing you literally invented?
I like Joe Root talking about bowling until 10pm to finish games. It’s interesting how he, Broad and media types want to change the laws of the game when there’s only something in it for them. No self reflection about declarations, sending Australia in on good pitches and dropped catches and but for some poor tail Bowling in the third test could be 3-0.
Honestly I hope it’s 2-2. Their salty tears are deliciously sweet and I could happily drink them for years.

Historically I have respected them and liked a lot of players over the journey. This version is a bunch of flogs.

I really really enjoyed drawing an un winnable test and probably un drawable test with it being washed out. Its just so sweet against this mob with all the carry on how we are cheats. And Bairstow 99 n/o is just the cherry on top
They've done studies you know, 60% of the time, it works every time!

This is so true:
Patrick Gray @PatrickM_Gray
We owe Jonny Bairstow so much for this series.
- awful wicket keeping
- getting himself stumped
- delaying a declaration to hunt a milestone that he failed to get anyway.
He's been one of the most important players for Australia. Brilliant stuff. Thanks Jonny.
