It's been the nature of the beast with us during the tests and now. Great inning by Abbott with some cameo's around him. I though it strange that he batted ahead of the supposed all-rounder in Sutherland but he knocked up a great score.

Australia all over the Windies at 4/44 on a good batting strip in Canberra.

Young fella Bishop on debut and batting 5 for the Windies is really going to need to adjust that back-lift if he's going to make it in international cricket on anything but the slowest decks.

This will be over with less than 10 overs for Australia to face

        0/58 off 4 overs - target 87

Australia win in 6.5 overs, with 259 balls remaining. This is truly a joke.

                Men's Dettol T20I Series v West Indies

February 9: Blundstone Arena, Hobart 7.00pm AEDT

February 11: Adelaide Oval, 7pm AEDT

February 13: Perth Stadium, 7pm AEDT

Australia T20I squad: Mitchell Marsh (c), Sean Abbott, Jason Behrendorff, Tim David, Aaron Hardie, Josh Hazlewood, Josh Inglis, Spencer Johnson, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Matthew Wade, David Warner, Adam Zampa

I wonder why Marsh wasn't picked in ODI team and why Fraser-McGurk isn't in the T20 squad?
Wade's been a terrific performer for Australia but surely Fraser-McGurk would be a good inclusion.

Marsh was rested since he plays all 3 formats of cricket.

This is likely very close to the T20 world cup squad and they probably don't see JFM making that squad yet. I do agree that we must have better options than Wade now. I guess Matt Short may come in once over his hamstring.

This is the squad for the T20 series against NZ:

Mitchell Marsh (c), Pat Cummins, Tim David, Nathan Ellis, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Glenn Maxwell, Matt Short, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Marcus Stoinis, Matthew Wade, David Warner, Adam Zampa

He's no doubt on standby for the next time Maxy gets on the cans and smashes his head.

Stoinis looked like he'd not played cricket for eight years.

Maxwell was ridiculous. David batted well.

Stoinis has barely made a run for the Stars in the last couple of BBL seasons, he's lucky to still be in the national team. His bowling is still useful when he's not injured (which is often).

Bailey's said they've identified Wade as a specialist in that lower-order 'finishing' position and it sounds like he'll be the number 1 keeper at the World Cup. I like Short and think he's in the mix, but think he's competing with Inglis for the openers position with Warner.

Australia couldn't complete the sweep. In every game WI made more than 200 which is quite impressive.
