Lyon dropped on last ball of the day.

Test cricket is unreal, on the day that Cam Green played a brilliant innings and took an average score for the team into a very good one if it wasn't for the use of a night watchman he could have easily batted again today.
2 for 13 at stumps. We need a score from Ussie tomorrow.

I really hope that is the coming of age innings for Green. If he nails his spot in the side, we really have a lot of flexibility in our team setup for the best part of 10 years.
Really mature batting form him today.

Some very poor batting in the second innings with Lyon the highest scorer with 41.

All out for 164, but a lead of 368

Kiwis are their own worst enemy , take a few simple catches and they probably had the upper hand in this game. If I was NZ I would be racing out to find the best fielding coach there is.

It's a day 3 minefield and you can't expect our top order to 'apply themselves' to the the task at hand.
Phillips did okay with the ball but a few batsman surrendered their wicket today

You are being generous to our batters. They were putrid and had it not been for Green we would be in serious trouble.

I should have added a bit more sarcasm to my thoughts. Exceptionally poor performance but we have to accept that our batsman won't pay a price for their lack of application.

Ah ok. My bad - didn?t read the room. In my defence sarcasm ain?t always easy to pick up in the written format 🥴

I get a lot of people view a win as a win no matter what but our batsman outside of Green weren't impressive again.
At some point we will come up against a stronger side and it could get ugly.

But there isn't much else in the test arena.

New Zealand currently sit 2nd on the World Test Table with only India ahead.

I know we are being carried by the bowlers but beating the 2nd ranked team away is a pretty good effort.

The only stronger team we could come up against is currently India.
