Re: Scottish Football Thread
Once again the topic of the old firm joining the EPL comes up, Martin O'Neill was interviewed on TV last night and gave his full support to the plan, with the proviso that other implications such as Dutch teams then saying they should be allowed tio join the Bundersliga and so on worked out in advance. My only problem with the plan is the pain it will cause to the SPL...and Scottish Football in general.Comment

What would happen if one of them were so poor (obviously that would be Celtic) that they finished in the bottom 3? Would they revert back to Scotland & win the SPL by the end of November?
Leave them in Scotland, set up an Old firm League where they can play each other 36 times a season.85, 92, 97, 98, 08, 09, 10... Break the curse!Comment

Re: Scottish Football Thread
So Rangers were held to a draw this morning meaning that both Old Firm teams are on 80 points with 2 games remaining. Celtic are on top by virtue of goal difference; 47 to Rangers 45 & have scored 8 more goals than Rangers.
Remaining games:
Hibs (6th) v Celtic
Rangers v Aberdeen (5th)
Celtic v Hearts (3rd)
Dundee Utd (4tv) v Rangers
# Teams finishing level on points are separated by goal difference.
# If goal difference is identical then the team scoring most goals finish higher. In the event of goal difference and goals scored being identical, a play-off may be held necessary.85, 92, 97, 98, 08, 09, 10... Break the curse!Comment

Hibs have had a half decent month of football and don't be surprised if they snatch a point if not more from Celtic this weekend. They have already defeated them at Easter Rd this season and would like nothing more than knocking them off again.Like asking what arm you'd wish to lose Craig

Re: Scottish Football Thread
85 minutes of extreme defending last night saw Hibs severely dent Celtic's chances of a fourth straight league title. Except for a few goal mouth scrambles late in the match, Celtic had little efforts on goal.
Well played HIBEES.
Aim for mediocrity and not be left disappointed.Comment
