7/161 - Hastings gone for 47. Terrific rearguard action by Wade and Hastings, but we'll still need another 150 runs bare minimum to post even a semi-competitive total. Weather forecast looks good for the next few days so the batting conditions should be perfect on days 2 and 3 when Qld will more than likely be batting.
Good comeback but yeah need to get to 250 and last the rest of today to even make it interesting. Will need a massive effort from here to get the draw required.

With the final being a five day game, you would think we would need a win with the position that we are currently in.
9/286 at stumps with Wade dismissed for 96 in the 2nd last over of the day. Super comeback but still a sub-par total considering the conditions - assuming a total under 300, that is at least 100 short of parity you'd think. And with the first innings virtually over after day 1 (and with fine weather forecast for the next 4 days), the draw is almost taken out of the equation.
Good fightback but I think the lower-order showed the batsmen that it wasn't all that hard a track to bat on. Still a disappointing total for a first innings on a flattish track when all we need to do is bloody draw the game.. probably more disappointing for the brevity of the innings than the final score, actually. We needed to be batting well into the third day, or at least late into the second, not be all out on the morning of the second day. This is going down to the wire.
