I'm with Chappeli, that was hitting the top of the off stump, hawkeye IMO was getting that one wrong.

      Hawkeye should be sacked...

      That was plumb!!!!

How on earth could it predict that ball going over the top? are they using a tennis ball?

The challenge system is getting abused and it's ugly to watch. It was put in place to get rid of the absolute howlers, but has batsman calling it for every marginal decision.

From one frame they just showed, it looked like the predicted trajectory was just the ball continuing the same rise from where the ball pitched to where it hit North's pad - which doesn't take into account the natural dip in rise (if that makes sense) the ball's going to take.

Out 7 days a week, horrible overule by the 3rd umpire. Actually, more lazy than horrible, if that's what the decision has been based on..surely they could've seen that hawkeye was getting that one wrong instead of just saying 'hawkeye says it's missing, so not out'

6 for now and im sorry but Pontings arrogance sometimes is too much, batted first on a green pitch and plays a very silly shot to get out.

                  2 in 2 balls!

Hussey goes and North plays a shocking shot and is gone (two overs too late, IMO). Surely, his time is up?

As perverse as it sounds, this has been the most exciting session of Test cricket this summer.

Watch Ponting blame his teamates now for not getting runs when he shouldnt have batted first !
Blind Freddy could see this pitch was going to be like this.

Out twice in a row early in his innings to dodgy pull shots - Gayle might've been onto something

I'm not fussed with the decision to bat first - yes, the ball has zipped around, but Australia's application to the task has been woeful.

On the flipside, the Paki's have bowled brilliantly, sure, they have the conditions, but they still need to use them, and it's easy to get carried away trying to bowl too fast or try too hard etc.

The worst thing Ponting has done today is that attempted pull-flick-thing. The decision to bat was fine - unfortunately, his batting line up go to water at the first sign of movement off the deck.

Will this game go 3 days ?
Not fussed Comrade, i would say your the only one, ridiculous decision to bat first.

In the words of Bill Lawry "it was never going to be easy"! So why bat first??
