How disappointing is another Australian collapse in a second innings?
I am happy because I want a good game. That being said, I don't think Pakistan will get more than 250.
In terms of anyone that wants Australia to win, it's definitely worrying. I think tests against 2nd tier nations are really bad for our side at the moment. Hussey is a different player when the pressure is on. I think it would be a great for Ponting to move down the order. He is ageing a bit but I still think he can be a very valuable player if he has the option of being aggressive to get his way out of a bad/nervous start. That is a lot harder with the pressure of batting at 3. I would like to see an aggressive Ponting at 5.
Some fans rate players who make enormous scores but sometimes I see that as a bit of a waste/'easy' runs. I really rate batsmen who consistently make solid scores, even when the pressure is on.

His form is uncanny. For the sake of 10 more minutes at the crease on a few occasions this summer his efforts would be held in even higher regard.
Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"
Some great bowling and planning by the Pakistani's, they know exactly how much pressure Watson is under, to continually keep bowing outside off to him, just one ball fired in at leg stump, they didn't try that ball every second over, but just one shot, and missed by the proverbial, Watson had gone so far across his stumps, he left that leg stump there out to hang.....oh boy.
I thought it was pretty subdued really, but I guess he was just relieved that he wasn't on his way because it was a pretty easy catch at that (any) level.

Big Merv was talking about Watson and that this plan of him opening the batting was not just a flash in the pan thing, had been thought of for some time apparently, going on i think he said 3 years of planning.
The selectors certaintly cop their fair whack on a regular basis, but this move seems like a very innovative move which to this point, has worked brilliantly for them, yet you don't hear many giving them pats on the back for such a move that has worked so well.
