Re: Ashes - First Test
He was lucky this morning, as plumb LBW as you'd ever see. No idea how Alem Dar could have not given it. If England had a referral left he would have been out for 80 odd, which is still a tick for the selectors.[U]85, 92, 97, 98, 08, 09, 10... Perhaps the umpires need to be given two referrals each per innings as well?Comment

Re: Ashes - First Test
Is there any danger Mitchell Johnson will do something right in this Test Match? He's bowled garbage, made a duck, and dropped Strauss. There must be something mentally wrong with him at the moment.Western Bulldogs: We exist to win premiershipsComment

Re: Ashes - First Test
He has made '0' in 6 of his last 12 innings at test level.Comment

Re: Ashes - First Test
My only fear is that we bowled them out off the back of a freak spell from Siddle. We need more from Johnson this time around. I'd hate to see a Cardiff like display again.
Having said that - we're looking good and our tails are up. They'll be tired. Hopefully we get a few out tonight (if we declare/lose one more...).
XD is doing OK at the crease.Comment

Re: Ashes - First Test
Looks a drawn match for mine, although not always confident with the Aussie 2nd dig.
Gee I'd be glad if they invented a Barmy Army mute button!
Seriously tedious those that lot.Comment

Re: Ashes - First Test
Should have been taken at first grade level.
As they say "catches win matches" and the Aussies have now dropped three.
Johnson should not even be in the mix for the next test, and would want to do something at the Shield level to get his spot back. It's better to die on our feet than live on our knees.Comment
