What a contradictory couple of sentences. Why do we have to perservere with Hughes, Clarke and Ponting in the top 4? Shaun Marsh, Usman Khawaja Michael Hussey and maybe even Haddin (while in this form) would be fine options to replace one or two of the top four

I'd drop Clarke, bring in Khawaja at 4, Hussey at 3, Ponting at 5.

The current top 4 are too prone to collapse.
