Quick questions for lovers of the round ball game, what has happened to David Carney? Thought Matt Mackay looked all at sea last night at left back, this needs to be sured up and my thoughts are that David Carney played some very good soccer for the Aussies in this position and should have a crack at it once again making the positions his own. Is he injured, out of form?

Qualified teams from Asia: Australia, Japan, South Korea and Iran
Asian teams through to playoffs: Jordan v Uzbekistan to play over 2 legs with the winner to play the 5th South American team over 2 legs for a spot in the WC - glad we don't have to go through that.

Gone to a series of clubs all across Europe but has never actually played for any of them more than a few times. Been unemployed i believe for the last year or so.

Concerning to lose 6-0 in a friendly match against Brazil a few nights ago. We are going to have our work cut out in this upcoming World Cup. Lots to think about.

I wouldn't be too concerned. Brazil are throwing the kitchen sink at all of their friendlies at the moment to put on a good show in the lead-up to the big dance.

The calls for Osieck's head on the back of that loss have been premature.

Hopefully in our next friendly matches we do a bit better from that but I hope it's not a sign of things to come.

France will be a good test. They have fallen dramatically, should still be too good for us but we shouldn't lose by more than 1 or 2.

Should be a good test. I rather us play the best in the world than against someone who is weaker and not in the World Cup. That's the best way to learn.

Considering Australia most likely won't get through the group stage who's everyones second team?

I'm struggling to choice between Belgium and Brasil(and are just going with both), obviously through the Huge Chelsea connection both teams have.

My brother reckons Belgium will be a great team in a few years time. May not win this upcoming World Cup but are in with a big chance.

With the final group games played in Europe overnight, 9 countries have been confirmed at qualifiers for Brazil 2014, as a consequence of winning their respective groups.

The best 8 runners up go into a play off to determine the final 4 qualifiers from Europe. Denmark were the unlock runners up, ranked 9th & missing out.
