    Re: 2012-13 EPL Thread

Out of say Wigan, Villa, Norwich, Newcastle & Sunderland I would want the first two to stay up and the other three fight it out.

39-40 points would just about be enough I reckon to stay up. In 2002/03 season West Ham finished 18th and got relegated with 42 points. Wigan on 35 points now are really up against it and would need to get as much as they can out of their last 3 matches.

A win when united are on the Tarmac ? The table doesn't lie

That's what I'm saying, the table doesn't lie. Our players should be embarrassed that you guys are so far in front of us when head to head we can match(and beat) you guys. Not taken anything away from your great premiership season, but really with the quality of our squad the gap shouldn't be that big and the players should be getting more heat.

          You don't rate cup football?

Fair call Chef. I just reckon the cups besides the champions league , have lost its lustre.
Weakened teams, low turnouts. Talent wise both Citeh and yourselves should be closer and honestly player for player Citeh should be winning the league

None of these guys got near Bentekes goal haul of 18. I'd say he has more talent & strings to his bow than all the players you have listed.

Yeah Benteke wasn't scoring & Bents scoring record in the premiership is outstanding but there is more to being a striker than scoring goals & thats why Benteke is a future star.

Wigan need 3 points tonight or they can't really stay in contention.

Probably going to come down to goal difference between Wigan, Newcastle and Sunderland.

If we don't win tonight the GD won't make a bit of difference. About 5 other sides will all sleep easier. If we get the 3 points and then it's a nightmare for a few sides.

Yeah you can have a bad GD but if you get the points your ok.

Fair chance neither of Sunderland and Newcastle are going to win again this season. While you guys have got two very winnable games coming up.

What have you thought of the overall EPL season in general? Im happy as Man Utd won the title but there really wasn't much of a challenge for it.

Huh? Jelavic scored 9 goals in 10 games last season. Cisse had 13 in 14. Dont make up stuff to dismiss someone else.
