Yep it would be. You can understand why they played a second string side this morning with such a huge game in their history coming up this weekend. Plus the winner also gets Europa League football next season, which is huge in terms of $$$$, sponsorship, exposure etc.

Don't agree. This is probably the biggest game in their history.

All clubs do it, it's just that some clubs depth run a lot deeper.

Why didn't they rest them last week?

I'm going to quote Toby Ziegler from The West Wing and say I've just about had it up to here with the Welsh*

And I dont have a problem with them resting their players. Even if it did hand a win to Liverpool.

*I've got nothing against the Welsh personally but it's just to good an opportunity to pass up using a line as good as that.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

                What episode is that from?

Rob Brydon cops a fair bit of well humoured stick from Stephen Fry when he appears on QI.

I'm with the concensus here. A league cup final win would be massive from Swansea's perspective.

Similar situation perhaps? (at least it reminded me of it)

Wolves have been hit with a £25,000 suspended Premier League fine for fielding a weakened team for their 3-0 December defeat at Manchester United.

Boss Mick McCarthy made 10 changes to the side that beat Tottenham 1-0 as he rested key players ahead of the game against Burnley, which Wolves won 2-0.

McCarthy, whose side are 16th, recalled nine players to face the Clarets.

He accepted the verdict, which he called a "deterrent", and said he would not make the same selection move again.

Toby does have some ripping lines in that show.

Then again, its fairly well written full stop.

                        Lukaku scores twice.

Stuff Falcao, I'd rather just bring Romelu home and spend the money elsewhere.

Cracker from Rafael . Taken a while but really us turning out a very good full back.
Some young bloke called Giggs scored again.

Another solid win for Man Utd over QPR winning 2-0 at Loftus Road. That puts us further clear at the top. As I don't catch all the games each week do you stay up Remi to watch them.

And he delivers them so well. I loved the ep where he lost a bet with Josh and had to tell everyone he met that "I work at the White House" while travelling cross country back to Washington after the motorcade took off without them.

I got into the habit of getting a little sleep and setting the alarm for kickoff for Arsenal games. I didnt bother on saturday night.
