Re: 2012-13 FA Cup
He;s scored more than enough goals this year for you or anyone else to realise he always points to his wrist?
Did you watch it, or are youi going on what you've read? The ball hits his hand & he looks to the ref who doesn't blow for a foul, what's a striker to do in that situation?Comment

An unjust way to go out indeed.Nice if a player approached the ref and admitted it.Comment

Re: 2012-13 FA Cup
I am really anti Suarez for the actual handball. It was accidental but IMO it also wasn't deliberate, I'd call it reactive.
What I do think stinks is how Suarez celebrated by poiting to his wrist. What can you say about him? A tremendous talent but he seems like an absolute rat of a bloke. I think he gets genuine satisfaction out of being a jerk too. He is like a real life pro-wrestling bad guy.Comment

Mansfield boss: Luis did nothing wrong
Mansfield boss Paul Cox refused to condemn Luis Suarez for the goal that helped knock his side out of the FA Cup.
Suarez fired the decisive goal in Liverpool's 2-1 win over Mansfield on Sunday after the ball had ricocheted off his hand.
There appeared to be no intent from the Uruguayan and the goal was allowed to stand.
Cox felt Suarez did what any striker would do.
"What he did was instinctive," said the 41-year-old. "We should embrace him as a talent, rather than for doing something that was instinctive.
"All he did is do what any striker would have done.
"If Matt Green had done it we would have accepted it. I can't be two-faced on that."
Cox was disappointed the goal was allowed to stand, but added: "That's when you need a referee or a linesman to spot those kind of things.
"I don't think he (Suarez) did anything wrong. It was instinctive centre-forward play.
"But if you look at the body language of players, all my lot are running to the ref and linesman and Suarez is blasting the ball in the net to say 'I've just handballed that'.
"I don't want to say anything bad about him because he is a fabulous talent, and if the shoe was on the other foot then we would have taken it.
"But when you have officials at that level, you expect them to pick up on it, but they are only human."

Yes and if that had happened at OT^^^
Great talent no doubt, couldn't imagine Ferguson putting up with his antics.Comment

Re: 2012-13 FA Cup
I don't like Ferguson but I do admire how he manages his players. Doesn't tolerate being a wanker (a bit hypcritical but I'll move on) as much as the rest. He also rewards loyalty more IMO. Think Giggs and Scholes would have move on in other environments. He kept Gary Neville for longer than other elite clubs would have.Comment

Re: 2012-13 FA Cup
He just wouldn't. Same as Ballotelli and Tevez (well it happened anyway) at City.

Interesting on Gary Neville, as I think Ferguson just loved the fact that he was a real pro.
Read his book and while his mates were boozing on, he'd be going to bed at 9.No great player but well admired at OT.Comment

ESPN apologise on behalf of Jon Champion for calling Suarez a 'cheat'.

Diving? There's worse - some of Nani's best work comes to mind.
FA Cup handball? - what a BS storm in a teacup!
Still love how he's been able to get away with bleating that Suarez should never play for Liverpool again after the OT game last season. Despite what happened that day (that I've already acknowledged was not good) that's still an outrageously arrogant thing to say in a post game interview.
Happy for him to be a panto villain if he keeps scoring when he wants. His rep is so overblown it's hilariousFloat Along - Fill Your LungsComment

Outside of the Evra situation - which as a Red fan, I can admit wasn't well handled and Luis needed to personally apologise for it, which he still hasn't done - what 'antics' are you referring to?
