I've always wondered if Haddin is Healy's illegitimate child. Spitting image.

Cricket can be a game of inches, combined with a little luck. We were of so close to getting Bairstow and Bell out early with the old ball swinging around. I thought Clarke made a mistake taking the new ball, I would have bowled the old one for awhile and with a bit of luck one of these guys would not have made as many as they did.

Can't see us winning this one, it has slipped away.

I find it a bit strange people are writing off Australia and the lead isn't even 300, what happened to a bit of spirit and positivity, I am English and if it was the other way round I wouldn't be throwing in the towel yet.

Record 4th innings at this ground is 280.
          Terrible batting line up.
Last 2 tests England bowling last at this ground they have restricted the opposition to 158 (India) and 80 (Pakistan)
Australia were actually 9/120 in the first innings.
Track is very dry now too so will spin a lot.
Andersons reverse swing will kill these batsmen.

Honestly the odds of $5 for Australia to win seem low to me. Think it would need a miracle.

I think we will be chasing at least 350

We would want to be chasing under 300. England have really grinded out their runs, I'm talking run rates of 2.2 runs per over sustained throughout partnerships, not sure our blokes have that sort of patience and value on their wickets

We need the openers to get at least 50 each given the batting order to come.

Geez these two have finally silenced the ex captains, even bumble has become coherent. Hope it lasts through to tea.

They need to dig in and really set a platform. If they are both there at tea we will be in a very strong position.

Good on you Aleem, another borderline one goes England's way. So utterly predictable.

How subjective is this review system ... The LBW yesterday you could see the leg stump ... Not out, going down leg side, this one leg stump well and truly covered ... Umpires call ??

I thought the English were overly conservative in their batting.
Watson and Rogers like Hughes and Agar have shown it's easy enough to score.

Jeez, it was pretty adjacent in real time. Can't blame Dar for giving that out.

Watto continues to have a major technical flaw shuffling across his stumps, and has been dismissed numerous times in identical fashion.

I thought it looked marginal in real time. It's the one that he gives out when we're batting and not our when we're bowling. It happens too consistently for it to be coincidence, I was over in England during the 2005 Ashes and so many times when nothing was happening for England Aleem would come to their rescue with a howler.

Surely that's the last time we'll have to watch Cowan in Australian colours. He's a good ordinary state player and nothing more.
