Still need to find a way to dismiss Trott, he's good enough to carry this batting line up

Great start, but England bat deep so we need to continue to keep the pressure on and try and get another wicket before lunch.

Pretty happy with the selection changes.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

The umpire gives the benefit of doubt to the batsman. The 3rd umpire gives the benefit of doubt to the primary umpire.

Ryan Harris just looks like he belongs at this level, very good bowling.

Getting Bell soon would get us back on top. The poms bat deep though.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Yep, need to get Bell. he is in good form and moving along nicely. 2 wickets before tea and its game on!

It's frustrating to so regularly see Australian wickets being overturned because of no ball replays. It's not that *!*!*!*!ing hard to get it right, they do this as a profession.

I remember Mitchell Johnson (who's not one of the great thinkers of our time) being interviewed and be said at training they don't even bother measuring their run ups and he didn't think he'd bowled a legal ball at training in 2 years. To say new coaching was overdue is an understatement.

Great comeback. From 4-271 to 7-283. Well bowled Steve Smith. Never thought much of his bowling but his spell today has been top notch. Though Bairstow played a poor shot getting out to a full toss.

Reminder of Smith's potential, one wicket was a cheapie but some good leg breaks in there. Wonder if he'll start putting more time into his bowling craft again.

I agree with Ryan Harris this morning. "Unacceptable" and "could cost us the Ashes".

                        It's surely not that hard.

Starc doesn't deserve to be dropped after bowling ok but I'd bring in Harris just the same, proven performer.

What a pity Holding and Warne can't stay permanently in the commentary box. Back to the wafflers ...
