Tigers reportedly trading Prince to the Rangers in a straight swap for Ian Kinsler. Good trade for both. Cleans up 2nd for the Tigers and while they lose some power, they get to move Cabrera away from 3rd which is priceless. Rangers gain a 1B with power and clean up the logjam in their infield but take on some huge cash. Interested to see how much $$$ the Tigers send the Rangers way. Prince could kill in that Rangers ballpark too.

I get tigers updates emailed to me & was shocked to see we made that trade. It makes sense & gives us some room to resign mad max & as you say get miggy back to 1st base. Maybe even opens the door for our best prospect Castellanos to move back to 3rd base & spend some money on an improved bull pen. I hear the tigers will also hand over $30 million to the Rangers.

Also some talk Porcello will be traded but maybe that won't happen now Price is gone.

      Cubs chasing any free agents?

Nobody this year, unless they can get an Ellsbury for bargain price. Still a year away from any free agent splashes.

Thankfully the Mets have a bit more salary for next season
Be nice to be F/ A players again. ( although past history doesn't fill me with confidence)
