Australia win the toss and bat.

England playing 2 spinners with the inclusion of Panesar, and have brought in bit and pieces external contract Ben Stokes for his Test debut.

Actually take out the 'bwe' until Ballance debuts

Nice to see a bloke take some pride in his wicket, he may have his detractors but C Rogers stability at the top of the order is exactly what this team needs.

Agree with valuing his wicket. Plus I like the concept of what Rogers offers, but watching him battle away manfully on the flattest of flat tracks, makes me think he's going to be a walking wicket next week in Perf.

He's like Cowan, except he can play. Rogers is normally quite good on the bouncy tracks and against the quicks - Gabba 1st innings dismissal was a bit of an aberration. It's the quality spinners that he generally struggles with.

Happy for Rogers to play for another year or two while our next quality opener is being groomed - not sure who that is right now.

Two quick wickets and England back in it.
