I've been a huge critic of Johnson and despite him getting a couple of rewards for some average bowling in the first test he has been sensational in this innings.

Was the stare down with Anderson necessary or does it add to the series?

Anyone that tells one of our debutants that he wants to punch him in the face deserves everything he cops, was also extremely pleased the way our captain also stuck up for Bailey in the last test, it's test match cricket and if your going to dish it out expect to take it back, I applaud Mitch for finally growing some nads.

They might not have been "wicket taking deliveries" but he set them up well.
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

Johnson 7/40 England all out for 172, a lead of nearly 400.

Australia will bat and there are still two days to go

Is there a bigger confidence performer than Mitchell Johnson.

Can we stop referring to Bailey as a debutant? He is a very experienced cricketer and has played against nearly all of these English players in International cricket before.

From the Guardian - love it.

Now there was a delay in one of cricket's longest overs – it would take 15 minutes. Stuart Broad spied a problem with the sightscreen; there was something glinting in the sun. After seven minutes that problem was solved whereupon Broad encountered another one: his leg-stump was missing.

I suppose the big question is how long do we bat for? I'd try and bat 80 minutes in the first session which would then give us a 30 minute effort to test their will before lunch. Cook could be the problem.

I would like one third of the morning session to bowl at them.
