Watson and Rogers out in quick succession - Swann gets Rogers yet again in tests.

That has made a dent into a very solid start.

Rogers averaging a very slow 40 in test cricket, not going on at all. How much better than Cowan is he?

But as an aside, Hughes should have his spot.

Better and more compact technique than Cowan, who plays like he is a nightwatchman who can bat a bit.

Then throws his wicket away with a shot well beyond his talent level. Cowan was a limited grinder who couldn't grind.

Who ordered that middle order failure?

Bailey going along nicely, hopefully we don't lose another wicket by end of play.

                Bailey 46
                Clarke 38

Edit- as I type he hits a six

Not too many better 6 hitters than Bailey.

Watched a bit of the last session( don't watch much)
Can they drag Richie out of his sick bed to replace the Inane Healy ?
                    Where's Bill?
The Aussies left some runs out on the field to be honest.
England blew some chances, and the total will rely on the Clarke Haddin partnership.

I just watch it on TV with the 9 commentary but like you find it hard to sit the and watch full day but Ive heard RM that ABC Radio's commentary is very good and goes well with the game on TV. Just mute the TV and listen to ABC's commentary while watching. Im hoping we can salvage the game back with this partnership of Clarke and Haddin. If this test ends in a draw we still will be 1-0 and it will be England who will have a bit of pressure. Still a long way to go in the series.

Broseph, the ABC wipes the floor with ch9.

I haven't tried sinking it to the TV though. I normally have the volume on very low if I get a chance to watch cricket. Just like Bruce on ch7, I don't know who these people appeal to and why they're on TV.
                        TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Who would be good to have in the commentary box for the summer of cricket in your opinion jeemak.

To be honest, aside from the guys commentating for the ABC (whom I like, for the most part) I only really know who I don't want in the TV com box.

Ian Healy is just horrible, as far as I'm concerned. He doesn't actually say anything. I mean, I understand words come out of his mouth but they are incoherent and nonsensical words delivered in a monotone which is too loud. The only time I can tell what he's saying is when he's barracking for Australia.

Chappelli has to go. I just can't bear to listen to him explaining how much of an arsehole he is indirectly, through using words to describe other people.

                            I probably shouldn't go on........

If there is money in it for them they will do it but yes I agree Ch.9 needs to get some better commentators anyways back to the game do you see us getting a first innings lead of 450? Clarke's average on the Adelaide Oval is very good.

I wonder if the channel 9 producer has changed this summer, the coverage has been so poorly executed, more so than I can ever remember.

I'm peeved the honour that has generally been reserved for international captains and/or elite cricketers, thinkers and commentators has been thrown away for James Brayshaw. Acts the clown on TV and radio with the other Neanderthals and tries to present something if it's cricket coverage. I just can't stand it.

On the other hand, at least they have some international commentators this year. But when Ritchie and Bill move into full time retirement, god help them.
