I've just got home and seen the Bailey dismissal.
One word Embarassing. Really poor shot selections out there to be honest

Seriously, I must be crazy for thinking that Hughes would be an improvement this side.

Hughes was quite good this time last year in the number 3 position. He needs the love Watson gets.

Haddin's been a bit lucky, needs to make the most of it like last test.

Just when you think you can start to like Brad Haddin, he proves to you why you can't.

Hasn't been a great batting performance thus far, most batsman really have got themselves out. 6/270 so far looks better than it should for England considering how they've bowled.

Does Adam Voges come into consideration for that middle order spot? Mature head and has been one of the more in form specialist middle order players. Handy bowler, fielder, better first class record than Bailey and doesn't have the obvious technical flaws.

I didnt put him forward as his recent string of form has come as an opening batsman and youd have to consider his mental state having just lost his brother.

Great innings Smith, he has a bright future

As an aside, It worked for Damien Oliver. They even made a movie about it.

Good to see that Smith didn't give his wicket away when the runs really dried up for him.

Johnson's run's invaluable. We need to bat for more than an hour tomorrow.

I'd still be looking at some changes because the batting just isn't consistent enough.

Hughes for Rogers, Burns for Watson and Ferguson for Bailey would be in the mix for me.

A lot of chest beating about the new love for Micheal Clarke in the public domain, but disappointing to see him go cheaply.

Rogers needs runs in the second dig badly.

Not sure Hughes is the replacement for me. But if others more educated think he's the way to go then go for it.

Bailey really couldn't afford to go out the way he did today. Test Cricket CLM.

Johnson took a hell of a lot of the strike after coming in, 60 of the 97 balls, and did it with aplomb. So hard to get us out when the blokes at 7 & 8 often outscore the top 6.
