I remember him catching Viv Richards in his hand !
Viv whacked it back and it stuck in Hafeez's hand

        Great number
The wicket dished up is not exactly conjusive to drawing any crowd

Adil Rashid with the glorious figures of 0/169 on debut. Beats McGain's record of a few years ago.

That would have literally been a nightare debut under the thumping sun bowling on an ironing board instead of a pitch.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I'd love to see our new team play Pakistan on turning pitches.

This is Pakistan without the best legspinner in the world at the moment also. The problem will be when Khan and Misbah finish up in the next 12-18 months.

Not much can be done, but I'd be interested if it was India in the same situation as pakistan.

My favourite is the guy that goes to every day's play in the UAE who looks like the Iron Sheik's doppelgänger.

Younis Khan with another century and England are on the ropes. Khan is just about the best player in the world at the moment

I love watching Pakistan play, even when it is in front of the Iron Sheik and about 20 of his mates and on pitches that make the Adelaide Oval look like a Gabba green-top.

They have rubbish openers, but then Younis and Misbah (and now Shafiq) completely dominate the rest of the batting innings. Then they have Wahab bowling nasty spells and ripping through batting line-ups on dead pitches (how good would it be to see him strut his stuff in a test match at the Gabba or the WACA), and then the excellent spin tandem of Zulfiqar Babar and Yasir Shah do their thing when the ball gets older. Yasir Shah is comfortably the best leg spinner in world cricket since Warnie retired - 69 wickets in 11 test matches at a strike rate of 48 is good going in anyone's language.

England fought extremely well to almost snatch a draw last night - batting for 139 overs in the 4th innings is a magnificent effort - but their middle order is rubbish and puts so much pressure on Root/Cook and then the lower order to eke out some runs.

If they win the next test in Sharjah, Pakistan will jump to #2 on the test team world rankings.

We all understand the reasons why we are being robbed of watching a great cricket team play on their home soil but they are a wonderfully balanced team. It's also unbelievable the way Pakistan produces so many quality cricketers. Well worth watching.

48 was Dennis Lillee's strike rate from memory. Shah is is in good company already.
