I agree, unless you get a penalty with the card then it sometimes doesn't matter.
Does it change when games go into extra time? At some point it has to become a decent advantage. I can see how teams can hold on with ten but to scores two goals with just 10 and it being an way clash seems to be a very good result.

It was a great result and they'll give the comp a shake. Their first win in England too.
But I agree we should have had an advantage, but we just didn't play well enough.

Going to extra time it definitely is an advantage then. Very good win by PSG but they are a preety good side as well. Plus $250k carrot on top.
maybe, but any season we win a trophy is a good season to me.
With your squad Chef, if all this season brought was the League Cup then you and I both know it's a massive failure.
But your miles ahead in the League and this week against Southampton becomes very important only because you don't want any weakness to form or confidence to fall away. You should account for them at home but their season is just about on the line so they will be desperate. Win that and the media goes away.
But let's be honest the teams chasing just aren't good enough.
Massive failure seems a bit hysterical to me(missing top 4 would be that), we're under 2 games ahead of a very good team that's showed a couple of times they can close out a season. I'll be disappointed if we don't win, but no more than I was last season.
I honestly dont believe we've been close to our best in 2015 and am surprised we still have a gap between us and City. Hopefully now the cups are done we can get our players rested and focused on closing out the season. Still 11 games to go and we aren't miles in front so I wouldn't be engraving our name just yet.

Don't tickle the pig Chef, your 5 points and a game in hand to the bottom side. I'm just going to say 8 points with 11 games to play and you've already played City. I will say your lucky it's been a down year for everyone bar you or it would be so much closer but it's not.
City would have to win every game here out, I don't think they are up to that. The way they are going they will be lucky not to have an interim manager before the season is out. Then on top of that you would have to lose 3 of the next 11 or draw at least 4 or so....Massive Failure it would be indeed.
Congrats on securing the players you did (the lure of London is to good) and building on the top squad you already had, I won't say it's the best but it is by far and away the most consistent and that's pretty much what the Premier League rewards. Interestingly you only have one win against the top 4 sides but so does the rest.
You say you haven't been at your best well that will make the other teams nervous, you were dominating early.
Honestly you would be much more dissapointed to lose it this year than last, you can't be serious thinking you were better than City last year? You had Ba and the boy wonder up front, even Jose said you needed a striker? You went out and got one and three of the best in the world, I say your much better this year.
It's enough for this season, everyone is on a downer. Arsenal had too bad a start as did Pool, City are working through some issues and United are still building. You will have to improve again next season and don't forget you needed 120mins to see off Pool and they didn't have a striker, shit Gerrard pokes it two inches to the right and your cupboard would be bare....but you can be humble about this year until later, coz we all know your home. You just don't want the egg like I copped last season .

We beat City twice, we beat you guys twice, we flogged Arsenal and drew at their place, did the same to United, the same to Spurs. The only team in the top 7 to beat us was Everton, who we beat at our place. We were streets ahead in the top 7 table, but unfortunately we stuffed it up against Villa and Sunderland in the run home.
IMO we were the best side in the comp last year, but we stuffed it in games we should be winning.
Theres no being humble about it, it's just the way it is to me.

We have to win that game in hand first and if we do that and are 8 points clear I'll be a hell of a lot more confident.
