Cracking effort from a second string Pool side to only lose 1-0 to Real.

Not so for Arsenal drawing 3-3 at home.
    The curse is dead.

Liverpool waved the White flag by resting 7 players.

This weekends game is of more importance for obvious reasons.

But in saying that the team they put out put in a cracking performance and a few of their players will be hard to drop.

Liverpool had one shot on goal for the game.
          If that's a cracking performance, I'd fear a poor one .
Liverpool fans who travelled deserve better than that.

European football away tie is generally about damage control, going down 1-0 to the best team on the planet is not a bad effort in my books.

But im yet to view the game and just going off a few mates opinions who watched the game.

Real controlled the game but should've really put us away, left the door ajar but Liverpool never looked likely. Made some good changes with about 20 to go but still never really pushed forward. Actually some good solid defending for a change but just lacked the Class to really threaten I think the Commentator said at full time that it was an opportunity missed for Liverpool and we should've pushed harder. To me it looked like a barrier trial for Saturday, big game Chef.

Unfortunately it was an improvement from the Newcastle game just goes to show how bad we are travelling. Brighter days ahead.

We were as lackluster as I've ever seen, we put out a strong side but played like it was a nothing game. Jose aint going to be happy.

Hazard missing a pen is not something you'll see very often and Costa also had goal disallowed for off side(to Fab) which looked a bad call.

City imploded. They just can't handle European football.

It's been a bad week for the English teams in Europe.

But City. What is it with European competition and them?
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Apparently according to Noel Gallagher they don't care about champions league.
Utter nonsense!! Very poor week for English clubs

Seems a bit ridiculous, it's going to cost Pellegrini his job if he can't get them progressing in Europe.

The players do look like they don't really give a shit though.

What was even more idiotic was Ricky Hatton wants City to go back to being a terrible team!

Apparently theres a fair few City fans who would love to go back to simpler times with less expectations and less hangers on, there cup crowds maybe showing this.
