They used to put the pitch close to Gordon st back in the day .

I saw Stacky hit a six at the WO once that went between the two stands, down the stairs and rolled into the men's toilets. It took the umpires about half an hour to find it again.

The final gets underway today, it really is a tremendous achievement considering the Vics have played one completed game at the MCG all day. It will also be Shippy's last as head coach, he's had a great career but the right decision in my mind.

Fawad Ahmed has to get a gig on the Windies tour . I'd have him in the one day squad as well.
Certainly a better bet than Doherty . Great story, and he sounds like a ripping lad
