All batsman performed well and I liked the way Watson gutted it out. He now needs to make the most of that late chance he gave India.

Good call whoever said Watson would perform in the dead rubber.

That's a pretty good day for us. Especially given there's nothing really to play for but pride.

The Indians were pretty ordinary with their bowling partnerships and all round fielding though. They looked like a team of players who would rather be doing anything but playing a test match.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Could have been very different if we declared overnight last test and they chased us down to keep the series alive
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

            Gotta feel for Rogers.

Great article on the Cricket Australia Website about Dave Warner's battles through this series.

            Warner haunted by Hughes memories

From all accounts a dead pitch with not much in it for the quicks. Still got to put the runs on the board and that what the Aussies did. Yes gutted for Rogers, good knock and great start. great innings again from Warner - he is probably our most technically correct bat - its temperament that gets him - one day he will push on and make a BIG hundred!

I have to admit that I was skeptical about giving Smith the captaincy. I honestly thought that it would ruin him and hinder his game. I know its early in his career, but he has just been awesome!

Or Australia had of won and were playing for (and India trying to prevent) a whitewash. All of these scenarios would have been horrible for the game, the status quo much preferred.

Smith with his 4th consecutive first innings hundred of the series. He's just doing it so easy it looks ridiculous.

7th consecutive test match with a least one score above 50 also.

Good innings by Watson, and a piss weak dismissal.

Same old tale for Watson, giving his wicket away too cheaply and missing out.

It's a bit of a shame, but not unexpected and the hounds will be baying for blood yet again.

I feel for Watto. He needed that ton to go past batting great Ian Healy on the all time hundred makers list.

Joe Burns making himself very hard to drop here, it's a road but he's looked class.

I think that Smith is going to be one of the real greats. His record and ranking will be higher than Ponting's by the end of his career.
