It's not an issue from what I've seen in the Shield, his ability to play the quicks has always been a strength and he does have a nice cover drive. I like the idea of him developing at 6 though.

Agree that Watson has held his spot for the Windies at least, I think the top 7 at the moment is just about settled with Haddin the only query.

Minor by the standards of this series perhaps, but completely unnecessary all the same. But you are right, if a bat complained about that sort of thing being done to them they would be a sook. That's what cricket should be about, when some people take the low road they should get called out by observers, while those that cop some of this crap should hold themselves above it and let their performances do the talking.

The Indians have been dishing it out all series and have gone down in two from three tests and are lucky not to have been whitewashed to this point. What's the point in being brought down to their level? Engaging with them on that level is about as sensible as bringing more guns to a gun fight in order to calm things down a touch.

And when someone like Starc is pulling that sort of crap we look just as bad as the Indians have over the course of the last two months, and that's not where I want the Australian Cricket team to be.
      TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

I don't have a great regard for the Indian test team, so I'd rather not judge the Australians by what the Indians do and don't do.

Just strange that when the Australians have been predominantly on the receiving end I'm yet to hear any criticism of the Indian's behaviour. From anywhere. Especially after Ishant followed Warner off the pitch after being dismissed at Melbourne screaming *!*!*!*! off at full voice.

I'm sure there's some pre-written media pieces that they'll insert Starc's name into and publish soon enough. That's one thing we can always be sure of.

Would be good to get another wicket now. Kohli is batting very well. The Indians are still over 300 odd runs behind us. It's looking like it might end in another draw.

Watson as an all rounder is a much better proposition, just does enough different. Let's see if he gets the hat trick.

Absolutely, we all lambaste the BCCI for their money grabbing but they still prepare big turners when we tour. It's such a shame grounds continue to lose their character. I wonder what Perth would have been like had it got a test?

I almost never willingly not watch a day of test cricket during summer. I did chores pretty much all day as I thought it would be boring as bat shit watching it. Every time I gave it a few minutes it was incentive not to watch it. What's the point of having pitches like this? May as well play on Astro turf.

Are we sure they are not just dropping the same pitch into every ground this summer?

Kumar very stiff how he could be given out when so much doubt.
                              Aussie lucky break.

Its such a shame after last year where the pitches looked to be getting somewhere back to their best. I wonder if its a concerted response from groundsmen who realise that players now really do have the skills and temperament to force a result even on the flattest of tracks due to how quick the scoring rates are
