Sounds like we offered Pick 11 and more for Lobbe, Port called him and asked him about it, he said no.

No idea if that's what actually happened, but I'd be bewildered if we blew Pick 11 AND more on Lobbe who is so very limited.

It sounds a little like we were desperate to get him which isn't a good sign.

It does highlight that we aren't comfortable going into the next season with the gaps we have which I tend to agree with but I'd rather see a low end end trade than overpaying substantially on ruckman.

I just d/l all the trade radio podcasts and skim to the important bits. All the highlights are reported strsight away to WOOF straight away anyway.

I'd do that. Chances are we get someone we're interested in (e.g. Ben McKay) and a slider.
Carlton would use the pick for Tomlinson by rumour.

Interesting one, I'd prefer to hang onto 11 and target a more high end talent. Still some very good midfield options at 11

Can't say I know enough about the draft to offer an opinion either way, but if Dally and JMac are of the opinion that two players around the early 20s are better than what will be on offer at 11 I'm happy enough with it.
