GWS have confirmed via Twitter that "despite media speculation, Cam McCarthy has not requested a trade and is contracted until 2017".

He'd be crazy not to chase that hard. I love the legacy of the Gryphon trade is GWS contracted gun players feel they can demand to get their trades on big money. If they hadn't of poached him, the Boyd example of them folding wouldn't be there to follow. 700 is crazy overs for mine. McCarthy was a handy 2nd banana to Cameron when GWS were going ok, but from what he's shown to date, he's just not big or good enough to be the focal point and take the main defender (unless Freo have someone else in mind as well).Comment
