It's a really good point made about him bringing Ling and Carey down with his rubbish. If there were serious commentators around them they'd maybe have to think before spewing the gobshite they do.

But they would've been great tackles. You can't judge a Brownlow winner by how many stats and votes they get. It's the votes Cyril gets that don't get recorded that make him a Brownlow winner.

I think I remember Pat 'Tin Man' Bowden almost made a tackle once, and what it would've been for his first and only ever tackle. And then one day he nearly kicked a goal of the year, but he didn't. And once another time he almost thought about getting into a contest, he didn't, but he almost thought about it. Delicious stuff, eh Ricky? Stats can lie, eh Ricky?
