There is just no consistency we get scragged a lot in the 1st quarter when not in possession. We seem to have a shorter release time than them. Melbourne are all over us though.

Isn’t it basic footy to have a player between the play and the goals ?
The amount of times they run through with no one on the defensive side is embarrassing .
We are also getting sucked in like under 12s footy and just all going the ball .
            This is bad.
i believe we have better talent than this terrible game plan.

After the practice games, I really thought we had a chance at winning that one. Melbourne were injured, we'd just stung the Roos... the hope was there.
Felt a bit flat yesterday that we couldn't pull it off, but on reflection, I don't think it's as bad as last place on the ladder and a percentage of 22 would suggest. For one, that's pretty much what the ladder last year had us at at the end of round 3, and from there our season noticeably improved just about every week. For another, we hit the post twice - if those two go through we've scored 3.6 instead of 1.8 - not a win by any stretch, but a respectable showing against a side that most pundits have making finals (and a better score than either Adelaide or Geelong managed!).

Given we started last year by getting flogged by a team that wouldn't win another game, I'll take it. And if this means Melbourne don't win another game for the rest of the season... I'm allowed to dream aren't I?

I hope you got her badge on Saturday. Might be a bit hard to if you didn't, I'm pretty sure the shop sold out after the guys behind me in the stands bought half a dozen of them.

Huge difference from last week to this week , great turn around .
If we can get our delivery into the forward line working we could be extremely good.
                      Effort is A1 .
Only thing we miss is a big strong forward which is sad when over the years we have had some first class ones but lost them to other clubs .

Great win 41-21. After seeing what Melbourne did to the saints yesterday, last week wasn't a debacle. Plenty of growth in the team and this will to wonders for their confidence. Big challenge against the hawks next week.

That was well played by the Dogs and a great win. It was great to see Issy Pritchard dance around Katie turn coat Brennan and snap a goal so to Brennan and Conti suck S##t !

So far it looks like we nailed last year's draft. McDonald and Poustie already stand out. The girls who've gone through elite pathways from childhood, same as the boys, bring so much to the game.

Emma could be just that. Wild to think she's only played the two games, she fits in the forward line seamlessly.
