May suits the Pies. He can continue to be a thug and they will encourage it.But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.Comment

There seem to be rumours about Roughead of Hawthorn going to another team to play next year to transition into coaching.
I hope like *!*!*!*! we are not having any conversations with him about it. He's beyond cooked as a player.Rocket Science: the epitaph for the Beveridge era - whenever it ends - reading 'Here lies a team that could beat anyone on its day, but seldom did when it mattered most'. 15/7/2023Comment

He looks painfully slow tonight against Melbourne. He seems a beat behind everyone else. They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.Comment

SYDNEY has been linked with a shock play for West Coast Eagles star Andrew Gaff this trade period.
A rumour swirling through football circles suggests the Swans have jumped into the race for the All Australian midfielder — ignoring reports North Melbourne has already offered the 26-year-old a deal worth up to $7.7 million...more please press link.

Still no WCE commitment, and even the way the whole Mark Brayshaw defence of Gaff played out, even meeting with Gaff’s parents, to ease all the tension in the West when the rest of the Brayshaw family were taking a far less conciliatory approach to the strike on Andrew.Comment

Re: 2018 AFL -Trade Rumours and Discussion
North are strongly rumoured to be adding both Polec and Gaff. For a team that performed pretty well this year how much of a difference will these two are likely to make for them?
Also Port appear to be getting a 1st round pick for Polec and perhaps Wingard as well and they have their own pick 9. In a draft that has a very strong contingent of players from SA They have positioned themselves well to take advantage of that.
Last year it was all about acquiring players via Free Agency and they even let Trengove leave for nothing and this year they see to have a focus on testing the market for their players a year before they might be lost to FA so they can better control the compensation.
If that part is true it's going to be something a lot of clubs follow and we will see an even greater level of players moving clubs.Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"Comment

Re: 2018 AFL -Trade Rumours and Discussion
North to me are a fairly capable inside and contested team who lack a bit of polish, so adding Gaff and Polec would be huge for them. They would start the season as top 8 contenders and with a few things going their way could challenge.
Port have had their dash with the current list and making some significant changes to retool and get a little bit younger is a good idea, particularly with the SA talent on offer. They've got a 3-4 year window with some of their aging players and a quick refresh will give them a chance for that, and sure up their future.Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?Comment

Re: 2018 AFL -Trade Rumours and Discussion
If port got north’s pick 10 for Polec and our pick 7 for wingard, that gives them 7,9 and 10. I could see them sending 2 of those pics to GC for pick 3 to nab 1 of luko, Rankine or Rozee, and get possibly hatley with the other.I will never see #16 the same!!Comment
